THE TRANSLATOR OF KIM JONG-UN TRIED TO HARE OFF AFTER THE LEADER OF DPRK.

North Korean interpreter of leader Kim Jong-un caught the spotlight for his short race at Dong-Dang station in Vietnam, where the head of state arrived to the summit with US President Donald Trump. The interpreter lingered to get off the train while Kim Jong-un went down the carpet to greet the dignitaries. Seeing the DPRK leader starting to shake hands with Vietnamese partners, the interpreter ran the distance within a second and stood beside him.

The interpreter’s race was shown on TV; a fragment from the broadcast was posted on Twitter by a freelance journalist from South Korea. “When run for your life” is literal, – American Martha Howell says ironically.

“And you thought the bodyguards of Kim were fast,” – the BBC correspondent in Seoul, Laura Bicker, jokes. Reuters bureau chief in Hanoi, James Pearson wrote: His talents wasted as translator, deserves a spot on the Olympic team.
